Did you know same rhymes with McCain..

poledance.gifRepublican John McCain is trying to find separation from the failed policies of the Republican Party as personified by George W. Bush as he heads into the general election.  The failed policies of the GOP go well beyond Bush however to all those Governors, state legislators and Members of the House and Senate in Washington who also aspire to class warfare, deregulation, smaller government and privatization of public services for private profit.

McCAIN WARNS CHINA OF CONSEQUENCES IF IT INVADES TAIWAN

ar11816580090292.jpgWashington, March 3 (CNA) US Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) warned Communist China Friday against its latest threat to invade Taiwan, saying Beijing would face consequences far greater than anything they might gain from such an action.

In an interview on the NBC “Today” program, McCain pointed out that “the one thing the Chinese have to understand is if they commit aggression against Taiwan, the consequences will be far greater than anything they might gain from it. It would be terribly destabilizing and harmful to everything in the region, which becomes more and more important to the United States of America.”

Feds fire 2 for looking at Obama file

clinton-obama-tradeing-jabs.jpg By ANNE GEARAN, AP Diplomatic Writer NEWS SOURCE

WASHINGTON - Two contract employees for the State Department have been fired and a third disciplined for inappropriately looking at Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama’s passport file, and the department is investigating whether political or other motives were involved, senior officials said Thursday.

Spokesman Sean McCormack said that for now it appears that nothing other than “imprudent curiosity” was involved in three separate breaches of the Illinois senator’s personal information. It is not clear whether the employees saw anything other than the basic personal data such as name, citizenship, age and place of birth that is required when a person fills out a passport application.

The past week has seen the Obama campaign come across its greatest challenge yet in confronting the public uproar over statements made by Obama’s spiritual guide and pastor, Jeremiah Wright. However, the core of the problem here is not the quality of Wright’s statements, but the racist implications that surround these condemnations. The vast majority of Wright’s assertions are not wrong, they are simply being delivered by an “Angry Black Man” which makes them appear threatening to the American (read White) public. Let’s examine some of the arguments Wright has made.

Obama is afraid of being second to a woman!

ph2007111601270.jpgWell there you have it…

Here is the story that I just read from CNN

Obama forcefully shot that idea down.

“Sen. Clinton is fighting hard. She’s tenacious. I respect her for that. She is working hard to win the nomination. But I want everybody to be absolutely clear. I’m not running for vice president. I’m running for president of the United States of America,” Obama told supporters during a rally in Columbus, Mississippi. If anyone should be suggesting vice presidential candidates, it should be him, Obama said.

“With all due respect. I won twice as many states as Sen. Clinton. I’ve won more of the popular vote than Sen. Clinton. I have more delegates than Sen. Clinton. So, I don’t know how somebody who’s in second place is offering vice presidency to the person

By Emma A Johnson

Senator John McCain has successfully won the Republican Party’s nomination for the Party’s national convention in September for the upcoming presidential election. He clinched the nomination with projected wins in Ohio, Vermont, Rhode Island, and Texas increasing the gap between his closest rival.

Senator McCain’s wins in all four states ensures that he has the support of 1,191 delegates, the requisite number to secure his party’s nomination. His closest rival, Mike Huckabee, has dropped out of the presidential race, pledging his support to McCain. He stated in a rally in Irving, “It’s now important that we turn our attention not to what could have been or what we wanted to have been but what now must be, and that is a united party.”
